The UK Boston Marathon (half/full) took place on Monday, April 17.
The route started at the market place in Boston town centre and wound through local villages, including Freiston, Butterwick, Wrangle and Fishtoft, before finishing at Boston College.
Robert Rennie ran the 26.2 mile route in a personal best of 3 hours, 6 minutes and 7 seconds, placing 24th out of 406 marathon finishers.
He stated that “it was really good running weather and a nice flat course.”
Three Coasters took on the Boston half marathon route.
Janet Harmston completed the race in 1:55:20, Sue Smith in 2:00:47 and Jackie Rhodes in 2:17:08.
Jackie thanked supporters: “The jelly babies that were handed out on route were great and much needed.”

Martin has been training hard over the last few months for his 26.2 mile challenge.
He achieved a great time of 3:55:36.
Martin said: “There was a great atmosphere once again at the London Marathon. It was my third quickest marathon and I was very proud to represent the Skegness Coasters at the event.”
Other Coasters taking part were Ben Evison who finished in a superb 2:52:09 and Jimmy Clark in a fantastic 5:29:40.
